Groveland Park Chess Club 2025-26 is starting Oct 14th!!

The Groveland Park Chess Club Quarter 1 is starting again on Tuesday, October 14th!!! The chess club will again be taught by National Master William Harrison of West Chess. We will meet in the cafeteria from 4:00-5:30 on Tuesdays starting OCTOBER 14th. West Chess is dedicated to the instruction and appreciation of the game of chess. Chess club is fun time for new and experienced players grades K-5. We will learn strategies for openings, midgames and endgames. New students are welcome. All students will earn points for participation and achievement in chess club and win PRIZES!! Come join us and make new friends and enjoy old ones!!

Dates of chess club 2025-26:

• Q1: Oct 14,21,28; No,11,18,Dec. 2,9;

• Q2: Dec. 16; Jan 6, 13, 20,27 Feb 3, 10;

• Q3: Feb.17,24; March 3,10,17, 24, 31;

• Q4: Apr.14,21,28; May 5,12. May 19 is THE PIZZA PARTY!!

The cost of chess club is $135 per student per Quarter. See below for discounts for signing up for multiple sessions. You must pay by OCT. 13 to be registered. There is no pay at the site option this year. Use the square link at www.mnwestchess.com to register. All equipment and an after school snack are provided. Also NEW: we have a limit of 40 kids this year, registration will be cut off at 40. all other registrants will go on a wait list. Note that registration fees are not refundable.
